Check Flow access before spending credits
Use Google Flow on a computer in Chrome or Edge. Open the Flow link from Veo’s official page. Google requires age verification (18+) and a supported region; check the current account or Workspace requirements and credits before paying. This exercise uses a Veo 3.1 model in Flow, not the Gemini Omni route in Gemini Apps. If Veo is unavailable in your account, keep the practice prompt and use a permitted clip in the linked editing guide. Choosing Chinese on AhaDo does not establish access.
Make one practice shot easy to judge
Use this original practice prompt: “Landscape shot of a closed blue notebook on a plain wooden desk. A gentle breeze lifts one corner of the cover, then it settles. Soft daylight. The camera stays still. No people, logos, readable text, speech or music.” The target is one simple picture, not a finished announcement. Keep three checks beside it: the notebook stays blue, the camera stays still, and no text or people appear. A simpler first shot gives you fewer things to untangle.
Select the Veo model in the prompt box
In Flow, click + New project. Use the standard prompt box and paste the practice prompt. Click the model name, then Video. Select an available Veo 3.1 model and Landscape, request one output, and choose 8 seconds if that option is available. The official feature table lists 4, 6 and 8 seconds for Veo 3.1 text-to-video; availability and cost still depend on the selected model and account. Check the active model, resolution and credit cost before clicking Generate. Do not assume the default image model or an Omni model is Veo.
Review the shot before another generation
Play the entire result. Check the blue notebook, fixed camera and absence of text or people, then look for a bent desk, changing cover or sudden cut. Listen too; asking for no sound is not proof that the file is silent. If the camera moves, try replacing only the camera sentence with “Locked-off camera; no zoom, pan or tilt.” Compare that attempt with the original before using more credits. If a pending or error card persists, read Flow’s system notification; do not keep submitting the same request. AhaDo cannot judge your generated clip.
Download a video and open the saved file
Hover over the finished asset in Flow, choose More → Download, then select an available video file option. Do not choose the 270p GIF option for this workflow. Open the saved file in a player outside Flow and check its actual format, length, picture and sound; a preview or share link is not the file. Keep the original download. The help page supports video downloads but does not establish your account’s MP4, resolution, watermark or usage rights. If the next editor rejects the format, use a supported permitted clip instead of renaming the extension.
Add narration and captions to finish the task
A short Veo shot is picture material. The linked task needs a 20–30-second MP4 with clear speech and checked captions. Use the existing wide.video guide to assemble permitted clips and your own or permitted narration. A practice script is: “Before starting, write down the one task you want to finish. Keep the notes you need beside you. Check the result against those notes, correct any mistakes, and save the finished file.” In the guide, choose the separate-picture-and-voice help; place the voice at the start, not after the video. Generate captions from the spoken audio, correct them against the script, and open the saved MP4. Mark completion only after those checks.
