What it helps with and what to check

Good tasks to start with

  • Short generative video experiments
  • Image-to-video creation
  • Creators who want a China-based provider option

Keep an eye on

  • Availability and plans vary by region
  • Review portrait and copyright rights
  • Generated video still needs factual and safety checks

How to start

Tick each step as you work. These checks stay on this page only; they do not verify results in the external tool.

1

Prepare one reference photo for Kling

Use your own photo of one plain cup beside a window. Keep people, private papers, labels and screens out of the frame. Save the original: you will compare the video with it. The global site has moved to kling.ai. Open its Image to Video tool and sign in if required; check the access and credit balance shown for your account before uploading. This exercise makes one background shot, not a finished announcement.

2

Describe what moves and what stays still

Add the photo as the starting image. Try: “A thin curl of steam rises from the cup. Keep the cup, window and background as shown in the reference photo. Locked camera, one continuous shot. No people, words or extra objects.” The photo already supplies the scene; the prompt supplies the movement. Avoid asking for a new room, a camera orbit and a second cup at the same time. Even a cup deserves a manageable job description.

3

Choose a short, single-shot attempt

The official VIDEO 3.0 guide describes Multi-Shot, duration and audio settings. For this exercise, use one short shot, leave Multi-Shot off and choose No Native Audio if those settings are available in your account. Check the selected model, resolution and total credit cost before generating. If your account offers a different model or lacks access, keep the photo and prompt; do not treat preparation as a generated clip or buy credits just to finish this checklist.

4

Compare the clip with the original photo

Play the preview, then pause near the beginning, middle and end. Is there still one cup? Does its handle keep its shape? Does the window stay put? Is the steam moving without the whole image wobbling? Reject a version that invents objects or changes the scene. If the camera wanders, make the fixed-camera instruction clearer; if the motion is too large, ask for less movement. Change one instruction per attempt and check the cost again.

5

Inspect the file you actually keep

Use the save or download offered by your account, then open the resulting file outside the preview. Check playback, duration, crop, visible watermarks and any unexpected sound. Keep the reference photo, prompt and selected clip together. If no usable download is available, stop here. Check the current terms before public or commercial use; a convincing generated scene is not footage of something that really happened.

6

Add the message, voice and checked captions

The cup clip is background material. If you need a spoken announcement, first prepare and review its wording with the internal-announcement Task. Then open the captioned-video Task. For silent or short material, choose its footage-preparation help, assemble the existing 20–30-second sequence and add the reviewed narration before making captions in wide.video. Listen to the saved result and check the captions against the speech. Finishing this Kling checklist does not finish that video task.
