How to do this task
Follow the method below, do the task, then check the result. Tool links show options, not extra steps you must complete.
The tested wide.video route generated timed captions, allowed cue edits and downloaded an MP4 without account or payment. Use the verified Firefox desktop steps and review the result.
View wide.video instructions →Keep the source script beside the editor. Correct caption text from that source, check timing against the voice, and review the saved file before use.- Imported media has not yet been placed on the timeline
- First-use caption model downloads are still running
- Karaoke word dimming makes the sentence hard to read
- The render finished but the file was not saved
- Closing a temporary project loses editing work
Make the file in the external editor
Follow the import, caption, export and saved-file checks. Each step includes a recovery choice when the result differs.
Start the guided workflow →Human check before use
- The saved MP4 opens, plays and contains the intended voice.
- The saved file is 20–30 seconds long and the final words are not cut off.
- Every caption matches the source, appears with the voice, fits the frame and remains readable.
- The message, names and numbers agree with the original material.
- I own or have permission to use every included element.
Where this comes from
One synthetic engineering replay on 7 September 2026: wide.video 1.7.10, Firefox 153 on macOS, timed captions and a downloaded 22-second H.264/AAC MP4. This is not a real-user success rate or transcription benchmark. Firefox temporary projects cannot be restored after closing; mobile editing, other browsers and Chinese recognition were not verified.
