Keep an eye on

1

Choose the tested desktop route

The replay used Firefox 153 on macOS and editor 1.7.10. Open Temporary Project; finish and export in one sitting. Folder-based project recovery is unavailable in this browser.

2

Keep control of the source

Use only non-sensitive material you own or have permission to use. AhaDo receives no media. Read the editor Privacy Policy from its opening screen; local-processing statements are provider claims.

3

Place the imported file on the timeline

Choose Add New Clip → File → Create Clip From Media, then Yes in Match Scene. Play the source and check its voice before generating captions.

4

Review captions before using them

Smart Tools → Auto Captions downloads model files on first use. Correct cues from the source script. Right-click a cue → Edit Cue to fix text, timing or dimmed words.

5

Save and reopen the export

Project → Export → H.264/AAC MP4 → All Clips → Export → Save As. Find the actual download and open it outside the editor. The tutorial links the five checks to that saved file.

Official source and research status

Listed · One synthetic engineering replay on 7 September 2026: wide.video 1.7.10, Firefox 153 on macOS, timed captions and a downloaded 22-second H.264/AAC MP4. This is not a real-user success rate or transcription benchmark. Firefox temporary projects cannot be restored after closing; mobile editing, other browsers and Chinese recognition were not verified. The tested workflow required no account or payment; this is not a guarantee about future pricing. The provider policy says media stays on the device, but also describes analytics and process-log bug reports; no independent privacy audit was performed.

Listed means a published directory entry. Guide published means it also includes dedicated start steps and sourced prices. Neither status means real-user results have been verified.
