What it helps with and what to check

Good tasks to start with

  • Studying a bounded set of source documents
  • Research notes with source references
  • Turning several documents into an overview

Keep an eye on

  • Source-grounded answers can still contain mistakes; open the cited source
  • Copyright, confidentiality and sharing permissions remain your responsibility
  • Supported sources, limits and account requirements can change
  • Do not treat an audio or visual summary as a substitute for the source

1

Choose a bounded source set

Open the document-summary Task below and select a few non-sensitive documents you are allowed to use. Record the document names and dates. Remove personal data and do not upload material whose sharing rights are unclear.

2

Create a notebook from the official entry

Open Gemini Notebook from the official site and confirm the account and workspace shown. Add only the chosen sources using the source types available in your account. Check the support page when an import option is missing.

3

Ask one source-bound question

Ask for a concise answer that cites the source sections and marks unknowns. Keep the question narrow enough to compare with the originals. A generated overview is a draft for checking, not a new authoritative document.

4

Open every important citation

Follow the citations for names, numbers, dates, exceptions and conclusions. Compare the quoted passage with the answer and mark omissions or changed certainty. Ask a focused correction when the citation does not support the claim.

5

Share only the reviewed result

Review the notebook and exported or shared result as a recipient. Check source visibility, permissions and any generated audio or visual summary before sharing. Keep the original documents as the authority and record the human reviewer.
