Read one paragraph, restate its main point in your own words, look up an unfamiliar term, and check that your restatement keeps the original conditions and uncertainty.

Explain each sentence in plain language and cite its S label. Choose one key word and explain its meaning in this context, marking uncertainty when needed. What can go wrong
- “The river level was lower” becomes “the river dried up”. Use the smaller claim in the passage; an easy explanation should not tell a bigger story.
- A restriction becomes “all water was cut off”. Keep the passage’s statement that drinking water remained available and identify what was actually limited.
- The explanation adds “until next Friday” or a complete causal story. Remove the absent date and distinguish the suggested connection from a proven explanation.
