What it helps with and what to check

Good tasks to start with

  • Structured team documents and operations
  • Summaries and drafting next to tables

Keep an eye on

  • Confirm table actions before applying them
  • Check workspace sharing and automation permissions

How to start

1

Choose one short source

Open the document-summary Task below and load its fictional source. Decide whether you need a summary, open questions or action items. Keep the original text open while you work.

2

Use a separate practice document

Open Superhuman Docs, formerly Coda, from the official link. Create a separate practice document and check who can see it. Use only the fictional source for this exercise. Docs AI can act on documents, so keep real team documents and connected data out of the practice. If AI access is unavailable, use the existing summary worksheet to draft by hand.

3

Ask for labels, not guesses

Click the Docs AI icon at the bottom right to open its chat panel. Paste the short source with its labels. Ask: “Using only this source, reply in chat with a summary, open questions and proposed actions in separate sections. Preserve source labels. Leave unstated dates, owners and approvals unknown. Do not change the document.” Review the reply beside the original. The no-edit request is an instruction, not a read-only permission; keep this in the separate practice document.

4

Review text and table changes

Compare the result with the source paragraph by paragraph. Check that no suggested action, row or status was treated as confirmed work. Remove invented links or numbers before you keep a draft.

5

Move the checked result onward

Copy only the reviewed summary into the next document or the weekly-report Task. Check document sharing before sending it to others. Keep source labels so the next reader can verify important claims.
