What it helps with and what to check
Good tasks to start with
- React and Next.js interface generation
- Rapid visual prototypes with editable code
Keep an eye on
- Review accessibility and application logic yourself
- Generated components still need product context
How to start
Tick each step as you work. These checks stay on this page only; they do not verify results in the external tool.

Write a small brief you can actually check
Prepare the brief in the requirements worksheet below. Build a packing list with water, notebook and charger; packed checkboxes; All and Unpacked filters; a packed count; and an Add field that rejects whitespace-only input. Use local page state only: no login, database, analytics, payment or external calls. Refresh resets the three items. This is a fictional prototype, not a storage service.
Describe the packing list in v0
Open v0 through its official site and use an eligible account if required. Enter the small brief as a text prompt and inspect the generated app in preview. The quickstart also describes Code and Design tabs; this exercise only needs the preview and chat changes. If v0 asks to connect a database or supply an API key, restate that this is a local-state prototype. Check usage before spending credits.
Test the count separately from the filter
In preview, start at 0/3. Pack water: expect 1/3. Choose Unpacked: only notebook and charger remain visible, but the count stays 1/3. Return to All: water is still checked. These are authored acceptance checks; the builder may produce a different or broken result. Record what you actually see.
Repair one behavior, then repeat the checks
Add pen: expect 1/4. Try whitespace only: no new row. Refresh: the original three unchecked items return. If filtering changes the count, ask: “Calculate the packed count from all items; filter only the visible rows. Keep the checked state when switching filters.” Repeat the full sequence after the change. Do not treat the builder’s “fixed” message as a test result.
Keep preview and Vercel publication separate
v0 documents publication through Vercel using Publish. Publishing is optional here. Keep the checked brief and unresolved issues in the AhaDo requirements worksheet. If you choose to publish permitted content, open the actual public URL and repeat the checks; preview success does not prove the deployed version matches. Do not add a backend just to finish this exercise.
