Make and check a short spoken announcement

Prepare a fictional script, generate speech in ElevenLabs, then listen for mistakes and check the downloaded audio.

Follow the steps

Generate audio in ElevenLabs, then review it here. The file you select stays in this browser; this worksheet does not upload it. Copy your record before leaving: inputs reset on reload.

Step 1 of 6

Prepare a script you can check

Start with the fictional announcement. Keep one language and short sentences. Write out the number and room name. Read it yourself once: a smooth voice cannot rescue the wrong meeting time.

Reference facts: three books, Room Two, Saturday at ten, keep the entrance clear. If you change the script, check your new facts instead.

  1. Prepare a script you can check

Start with the fictional announcement. Keep one language and short sentences. Write out the number and room name. Read it yourself once: a smooth voice cannot rescue the wrong meeting time.

  2. Check access and choose a voice

Open ElevenLabs Text to Speech. Choose an available voice and a model that supports your script's language. Check the account's credits and voice-use conditions. This exercise does not need a cloned voice. Stop if access or permission is unclear.

  3. Generate once, then listen

Paste only the practice script and choose Generate Speech when ready. Generation uses credits; downloading is not the charging trigger. Listen from beginning to end before changing anything. Note the exact word or sentence that needs attention.

  4. Check the words, not just the voice

Compare the recording with the script. Check the number of books, room, day/time and entrance instruction. Then check pronunciation, pauses and whether any word is missing. If Room Two sounds like Room Ten, record that problem; do not tick the box to make it go away.

  5. Fix one issue and check the export

If needed, adjust wording or punctuation and regenerate after checking the shown credit cost. Open History and use the download control for an available audio format. Play the downloaded file outside the provider editor. Confirm it is the intended version and plays to the end.

  6. Save the review record

Record the script, selected voice/model, issue and correction, file name and intended use. Recheck the provider's current usage terms before sharing. Finishing this worksheet does not grant commercial rights or certify the audio.
